It’s simple to make, yet delivers a rich, comforting flavor that feels like a little hug in every bite. With its balanced sweetness and lighter ingredients, it’s perfect for enjoying with a cup of tea or sharing with friends.

Ingredients
250g all-purpose flour
60g cocoa powder
1 tsp baking powder
100g granulated sugar (or a natural sweetener of your choice)
50g unsalted butter, softened
3 eggs
120ml milk
90g dark chocolate chips (optional)
Preparation
Step 1
In a large bowl, beat the eggs and sugar together until the mixture is light and fluffy.
Step 2
Gradually sift in the flour and baking powder, mixing until combined. Pour in the milk and continue stirring until smooth.
Step 3
Slowly add the melted butter to the batter, stirring until fully incorporated. Finally, add the cocoa powder, mixing until the batter is well combined and has a rich chocolate color. If using, fold in the dark chocolate chips.
Step 4
Transfer the batter into your prepared loaf pan, spreading it evenly. Bake for about 40 minutes at 180C, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
